My name is Andre Liberte. That is a pen name. I use it because the framework matters more than my biography.
What I can tell you is this: I ran a profitable brick-and-mortar business in Quebec for years. I paid Canadian taxes on every dollar of it. I watched the deal change — slowly, then faster. And I spent a long time pretending the arithmetic was not what it was.
"Eventually I stopped pretending."

THE SEQUENCE
The decision to leave was not impulsive. It was the last move in a sequence that took years to work out.
Before anything else, I converted the business online. Not because leaving was certain — because income that travels with you has to come before the move. That was the prerequisite.
We researched Mérida. Not from a rankings list. Not from a blog. We went there. Walked the neighborhoods. Visited schools. Sat in the market on a Tuesday morning. It passed the test that matters — not beautiful on a Saturday, functional on an ordinary week.
We confirmed it as our Home Node and started the residency process.
The kids were enrolled before we sold the house.
Then in the summer of 2013, we left.
THE TUITION
I made expensive mistakes along the way.
"Not careless ones. Careful ones. The kind that come from doing the right thing in the wrong order — because nobody had written down the sequence."
I learned what happens when a property sale meets a tax residency trigger at the wrong time. I learned what a banking structure that looks solid on paper costs when the wrong event hits it.
I learned that the difference between a structure that holds and one that does not is rarely the destination. It is almost always the sequence.
That tuition was real. The Blueprint exists because I had already paid it.
THE OUTCOME
My children are now adults. They hold Canadian and Mexican passports. They are fully bilingual. No single government holds all our keys. Mexico is where the family put down roots. Mérida as Home Node. Kids raised and schooled there. They grew up bilingual not because we sent them to language classes but because the coordinate we chose made it inevitable. The Home Node did that work. What they carry forward is not money. It is optionality. The ability to work, live, and operate across jurisdictions without asking permission from one system.
"That is not an accident. It is an architecture."
The architecture keeps evolving. Four residencies across four jurisdictions — Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Portugal — each with a function in the Trinity Node.
Portugal, Algarve is one of my current Home Nodes. Under NHR 1.0 — about five years remaining before the program sunsets for me. Decision deferred — built to leave if needed, ready to stay if conditions warrant.
Paraguay and Panama are Freedom Nodes. Territorial tax residency. Real legal standing outside the birth-country system. Paraguay is already positioned as a Home Node, ready to activate. Two Freedom Nodes — distributed legal standing on a second axis. Two is one.
The US is one of the Financial Nodes. Business and banking rails only — never residency, since US residency triggers worldwide taxation for the wrong holder profile. The build sequence: Wyoming LLC, US banking, eCommerce and payment processing, trademark registered, and a US credit profile built from zero to $16,500 in lines within 15 months. That sequence is in the Blueprint. Every step in the right order.
Living in one does not make the others theatrical. Distributed legal standing is the architecture. The Trinity Node works because the residencies are real — activated, maintained, defensible — not because they exist on paper.
Property bought and sold across Central America, Mexico, and Europe. Banking relationships on three continents. Corporate structures in multiple jurisdictions. The next coordinate on the evaluation list is Southeast Asia.
Not all of it went smoothly. Foreign real estate and business outside Canada or the US is a different animal entirely. Different legal recourse. Different management culture. Different risk profile. I learned that the hard way — with real money and real consequences. What came out of those mistakes was not just the Blueprint. It was the judgment to know what to warn against.
I have helped friends avoid six-figure errors they did not know they were about to make. That is the kind of knowledge that does not come from research.
THE RUG PULL
I do not give any one government my absolute trust. Not out of cynicism — out of arithmetic. Governments renege on commitments. Political parties change, public pressure shifts, fiscal pressure builds, and the rules that applied when you signed up are not always the rules that apply five years later. This is not about not loving the country you live in. It is about not putting all your eggs in one basket. Enjoy your time wherever you have chosen. Just don't make it the only Home Node you have. Two is one. One is none.
Portugal just rug-pulled everyone. On May 3, 2026, the president signed the law doubling the citizenship timeline from five years to ten. People built plans around one set of terms and watched the deal change after they were already invested. A friend who put €250,000+ into Golden Visa five years ago for the passport pathway is now looking at twelve to thirteen years total, optimistically. I am not surprised. I planned for it. Paraguay is positioned and ready to activate. I am also not angry. Anger leads nowhere. You build redundancy before the rules change. That is the discipline. Not the anger. The discipline.
Portugal still works for some profiles. Retiree on pension income — the program structure remains favorable. Crypto holder — long-term holdings still get favorable treatment. Resident who came for the climate, the food, the pace, the people — none of that changed. But as an investment thesis or as a Financial Node, when the government has demonstrated it will renege on commitments mid-stream, no. The right call depends on which version of the buyer you are.
WHY LIBERTOS EXISTS
When I was building this, the framework did not exist. In 2013 the space was thin.
A handful of lifestyle bloggers telling you it was easy. No gurus yet. No digital nomad industry.
And certainly no one in the middle — no sequencing system, no implementation framework, no honest accounting of what getting this wrong actually costs.
The political party wing you pick doesn't change the bird. It rarely matters who you vote for. The system optimizes for its own continuity — not yours. That's not cynicism. That's arithmetic.
Stop waiting to be rescued. Start building the exit.
That's why Libertos exists.
"Libertos is what I would have paid for if it had existed."
WHAT THIS IS NOT
I am not a financial advisor. I am not a tax lawyer. I am not a passport consultant.
I am someone who built this architecture for my own family — made the mistakes, corrected the sequence, and documented the result.
Libertos provides the framework. Qualified professionals provide the implementation.
That line is not a disclaimer. It is the design.
You do not need a guru. You need a framework, the right contacts, and the discipline to do the work.
If any of this sounds familiar — start with your exposure number.
